Environmental (Aviation) Consultant

As an Environmental (Aviation) Consultant, you will play a central role in projects focused on assessing and managing environmental impacts, particularly in the areas of noise, emissions, and future fuels. You will lead and support projects where environment meets aviation efficiency, planning, safety, and policy. Your expertise will enable clients to cope with challenges by delivering outstanding independent consultancy services.

You have gained a minimum of two years of operational experience in aviation (research), preferably with a background in environmental impact assessments. Your experience includes working with aviation or environmental data, conducting noise and/or emissions modelling, interpreting results and effectively communicating findings to clients and their stakeholders.

The job

  • You will work on a broad range of projects for different (international) clients, related not only to environmental impact, but also related to planning, efficiency, safety and policy.

  • Collaborate in multidisciplinary project teams, working alongside colleagues with varied backgrounds and expertise.

  • You will lead project teams within To70 or for the client.

  • You will create reports and presentations based on research, investigation and simulations that the team has performed.

  • You present your findings to clients and stakeholders during meetings, workshops or events.

  • You will be a mentor for junior aviation consultants, supporting their professional development.

  • You work on multiple projects and business opportunities at the same time.

  • Where possible, you will start to develop new business opportunities together with the team.

  • Most of the time you work in our office in The Hague, the Netherlands.

Your profile

  • You have completed an engineering degree, environmental degree or equivalent

  • You can express yourself clearly, both orally and in writing. English is required, Dutch is strongly preferred but not mandatory.

  • You enjoy working with others and growing your professional network

  • You are ambitious and wish to advance your career

  • You can (help) write winning proposals to sell our expertise to our clients

  • You have experience with environmental impact assessments (from data processing to modelling to processing and reporting results).

  • You are confident in leading small project teams, collaborating with the client, and presenting results during meetings or workshops.

  • Proficiency in programming (in Python) is a plus, but not mandatory
